The Kamasutra Devi School is a Women Only annual course designed and conducted by the Tantric Teacher Maya Swati Devi.
“Kama is pleasure, and its limbs are jewels, fragrant ointments and garlands, as well as groves, hanging gardens, lute music and wine. Its foundation is the women without brakes, beautiful, young, loving, flirtatious, adulterous, attracting the minds and hearts of men.” ~ Kamasutra.
The power of Desire (Kama) is the strength at the base of Tantra. It reflects the principle of Desire that creates the illusion of the phenomenal world but also pervades and motivates the whole universe. In the past, the priestesses played a particularly delicate role in initiating young men and young women into sexuality.
Their role was to explain how sex was linked to the transmission of Love and had nothing to do with the rubbing together of two anatomical parts and the physical pleasure it produces. Love was taught to be a ritual that allowed access to the Divine. In the Western world, we have a very narrow view of sexuality that does not allow us to understand that it is not possible to experience eroticism without recovering its spiritual depth.
